Astroponics , hydroponic application at Space?

Hydroponics

(grow plants in a watery solution of mineral nutrients instead of soil, including nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium)

To a large extent, hydroponics  has many benefits in the modern world. Just thinking  in areas where good soil is scarce, hydroponics allows residents to grow fresh food . Since hydroponic farms can be set up indoors, most importantly,  fresh food can be grown all year long.

Just daydreaming in soon future.....

Hydroponics become more popular at the space while enable astronauts to spend longer periods of time in space, as future missions may require long travel times. 

So ,new term or definition might come out says "ASTROPONIC "
