Barcelona : the capital and largest city of Catalonia
If I had to describe Barcelona in one word,
It would be Stunning-Beautiful.
It would be Stunning-Beautiful.
I don’t think any other city had gorgeous sunny weather
that came anywhere close–clear brilliant blue skies,
incredible Gaudi Mosaic architecture, the grandest church,
delicious tapas & delights
and the perfect mix of city & sexy beach.

Harmony in red ※ Henri Matisse 1908
The following painting,
The dessert: harmony in red (The red room) 1908,
is considered by some art historians
to be Matisse's masterpiece.
This fauvist painting, like impressionism, has no central focal point.
The painting was ordered as 'Harmony in Blue,' but Matisse was dissatisfied with the result, so he painted it over with his preferred red.Harmony in red, which the Russians call The red room, depicts a maid arranging fruit on a table in a room dominated by its vibrant red wallpaper.
The painting is a brilliant celebration of pattern and decoration.
The rhythms of the foliage pattern on the tablecloth and wallpaper are echoed in the background through the window, uniting the interior with the cooler exterior.
In this work Matisse painted with flat areas of colour rather than his characteristic thick brushmarks, emphasising the flat decorative surface of the painting.

Matryoshka Doll
A matryoshka doll (Russian: матрёшка)
also known as Russian nesting/nested doll,
refers to a set of wooden dolls of decreasing size placed one inside the other.
They are sometimes incorrectly referred to as "babushka dolls" (grandmother doll). The first Russian nested doll set was carved in 1890 by Vasily Zvyozdochkin from a design by Sergey Malyutin, who was a folk crafts painter at Abramtsevo.
Traditionally the outer layer is a woman, dressed in asarafan, a long and shapeless traditional Russian peasant jumper dress. The figures inside may be of either gender; the smallest, innermost doll is typically a baby turned from a single piece of wood.
Much of the artistry is in the painting of each doll, which can be very elaborate. The dolls often follow a theme, aside from the typical traditional peasant girls, the themes vary, from fairy tale characters to Soviet leaders.
